If standards matter, then the only recommended notation [0] for URLs
within free text is <URL:scheme://foo/bar>. Which would make the above
change as:

- It was downloaded from http://logapp.sourceforge.net/
+ It was downloaded from <URL:http://logapp.sourceforge.net/>.

So, if we're going to recommend a notation, I'd argue for the standard
one.
