Hey Jeffrey, I opened a bug against gscan2pdf indicating that there is a new upstream available (#440204). If I might make a suggestion, why not RFS a NMU 0.9.16-0.1 that closes #440204 as well as any other open bugs that are fixed in 0.9.16. That way there's no issue of hijacking but you can get your work updated pending resolution of Mr. Goerzen's status.
