You should divert the manpage too.
I did not notice, but now you are modifying upstream source. I think
that you should use patches instead. With cdbs, there is a very easy
patch system. Drop your patch into debian/patches and just add "include
/usr/share/cdbs/1/rules/simple-patchsys.mk" into debian/rules. You can
also choose another patch system. They are all equally easy to use with
cdbs. ;-)
