I misspoke here. '.be/' a directory that's part of both upstream *and* the Debian working tree, and belongs in version control; but should not be part of the Debian source package, because it's on the order of a VCS data directory. In other words (and thank you for asking questions until I know how to ask this): I want an additional directory to be removed from the Debian source package, the same way '.bzr/' and '.hg/' and 'CVS/' et al are removed when building the Debian source package. How can I achieve this?
