I see that your package has not been sponsored as yet. As I do not use pidgin (though I use TeX) I am not yet sure that I will sponsor your package eventually. In any case here are some preliminary comments: - debian/copyright information is at odds with pidginTeX.[ch] - FSF address in those files is wrong - debian/copyright needs state the license more clearly than a bald "GPL 2.0" - spurious change in upstream Makefile (blank line added) - there are some other mini-tex converters like texgd, will the package work with those? - is it LaTeX only or does it work with plain TeX. The last two questions could be addressed in a README.Debian or if possible in the package description. I may return to examine this package this evening with some more comments.
