Hello all.

I've just realized that I don't understand current status of 3.0 format source
packages in Debian.
I've made a number of 3.0 (quilt) packages, since I've found description of
this format somewhen and it looked very useful. But lintian marks it as an
error:

E: qutim source: unsupported-source-format 3.0 (quilt)
N:
N: This package uses a different source package format than 1.0. At
N: present, only Format: 1.0 packages are permitted by the Debian archive
N: software. Newer package formats are supported by dpkg, but they should
N: not yet be used for upload to Debian.

So, is it really unsupported in the Debian at the moment? And is there any information about when it'll be available? Or may be I just should add an lintian override?

Thanks :)
