Some more comments about these packages: They are based on updated versions I uploaded to Ubuntu during the Karmic development cycle, modified for Lintian cleanliness against the latest version in unstable, as well as new copyright acknowledgements. The version of libdc0 currently in Debian provides the binary packages libdc0c2 and libdc0-dev. They are now libdc5 (new upstream soname) and libdc-dev. I believe adding the soname number to the -dev package was a mistake in the first place, and since valknut is the only package depending on this library (and comes from the same upstream developers), the rename will touch nothing once the valknut update follows libdc0.
