We've been using this small script, that manages both our CentOS and Debian repo:

Just run the script each time you add a new file in
/home/ftp/debian/pool/$release

It's very basic, but we don't feel we need more. It has been inspired by
various tutorials. Note that of course, you need to have a pgp key
generated for the user using the script, so you can sign your release file.
