Hi Bilal, (I'm not a DD so I can't upload anyway.) I'm really not confident with considering /var/lib/* files as conffiles. IMHO the correct solution for this particular bug is to force the removal of those files on purge so: differentiating remove from purge in postrm and removing the files in a non-blocking way.
