Dear mentors, I am looking for a sponsor for my package "mactelnet".
* Package name : mactelnet Version : 0.3.1-1 Upstream Author : Håkon Nessjøen <[email protected]> * URL : https://github.com/haakonnessjoen/MAC-Telnet * License : GPL-2 (Except md5 routines, covered by zlib license) Section : net It builds these binary packages: mactelnet-client - Console tools for telneting and pinging via MAC addresses mactelnet-server - Telnet daemon for accepting connections via MAC addresses The upload would fix these bugs: 615823 My motivation for maintaining this package is: As the author of the software, I am specially motivated to maintain this package, and fix bugs immediately. Also I am motivated to start working with maintaining more packets for Debian, for some day to become a DD. Some more info about the package: This tool can communicate over the local area network using UDP packets with a MAC-address as destination. You can telnet Linux machines that have installed mactelnet-server, or a Mikrotik RouterOS device. It uses Mikrotik's own proprietary protocol, connecting via UDP packets at port 20561. Included in mactelnet-client are also MNDP discovery application, and macping to ping via the mactelnet protocol. In the mactelnet-server package, there is a mactelnet daemon, to allow other mactelnet-client users, or RouterOS owners to telnet your machine via the MAC address or the machine's hostname via the MNDP protocol (Mikrotik network discovery protocol), a simplified version of Cisco's CDP, using UDP packets. The package can be found on mentors.debian.net: - URL: http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/m/mactelnet - Source repository: deb-src http://mentors.debian.net/debian unstable main contrib non-free - dget http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/m/mactelnet/mactelnet_0.3.1-1.dsc I would be glad if someone uploaded this package for me. Kind regards Håkon Nessjøen -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [email protected] Archive: http://lists.debian.org/[email protected]
