On top of the above, here are a few things to do:
* Run lintian on your package and fix the warnings, etc.
* Delete the empty debian/README.source
* Add a watch file (see uscan(1) for details)
* When you close bugs from the changelog, you should associate the
'(Closes: #NNNNNN)' with the description of what you're fixing. For
example,
* Submitted to Debian (Closes: #663255)
or
* Initial Debian release (Closes: #663255)
but not
* Submission for Debian
* Closes: #663255
* See the Developers' Reference[0] for suggestions on writing
descriptions. In particular, I'd recommend:
+ against capitalising the synopsis
+ against making your long description 60 characters wide (there's
no need for this)
+ against linking to the pdf-presenter-console homepage
+ expanding it: What does your software do, how is it different from
the pdf-presenter-console package, why should we use it? The long
description you had in your ITP was a good start.
Best wishes,
Ryan
