Hi Vladimir, I routinely use 'pwgen' but because it doesn't have functionality I wish for on several occasions I've been trying other password generation tools. Shortly after you published your RFS I tried 'rpg' but quickly discarded it because from the first look I found no new functionality. (pwgen is more feature rich) In my view even if 'rpg' is marginally better with generation of certain kind of passwords than 'pwgen', it's not enough to justify inclusion of 'rpg' to archive but rather demonstrate a possible way to improve existing tools. I like, respect and appreciate diversity we're already have in Debian but having too many tools doing the same thing is hardly helpful. Moreover one simple script like 'rpg' do not benefit so much from packaging so perhaps it may be still useful for those who want to use it if they just get it with 'wget' etc. It is great that you love and care for your script and wish to share it with the world through Debian, however I have a feeling that few people around here convinced that we have a problem worth introducing 'rpg' as solution. Debian always needs manpower and if you truly wish to help us we will much appreciate your contribution to existing packages. I imagine you might be already using some Debian packages which need more love and care. Your skills will be better used if you dedicate a bit of your attention to addressing existing problems. Your work on other packages will help you to learn and to demonstrate that you're capable of taking responsibility for a package maintenance.
