Once you have an Alioth account and you are in the debian-science group, you can ssh <alioth-login>@vasks.debian.org cd /git/debian-science/packages mkdir <package>.git cd <package>.git git init --bare On your local machine, you should then be able to use: git checkout git+ssh://<alioth-login>@git.debian.org/git/debian-science/packages/<package>.git or git remote add alioth git+ssh://<alioth-login>@git.debian.org/git/debian-science/packages/<package>.git Make sure the package itself follows the debian-science policy.
