-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Dear mentors,
recently I received the bug report below. The problem for the FTBFS is, that gwyddion currently seems to not include libgtk2.0-dev (which contains the missing header file gdkgc.h) correctly. Gwyddion correctly Build-Depends: on libtgtk2.0-dev, but still libtool(?) seems to no longer set the necessary -I/usr/include/gtk-2.0 switch any longer. This switch was set correctly about a year ago, when I uploaded version 2.28 to unstable. Now, neither this version nor the newer 2.31 builds - using the exactly same packaging. Both FTBFS with the given error message. So I suspect some change somewhere in the toolchain (libtool?/gcc?/...???) which requires an update to the packaging. Could anybody please give me some pointer to a solution or where I can read something about this? Thank you very much in advance! Best regards, Jan (Please CC me in replies, as I am currently not subscribed to -mentors.) PS: As I am anyway about asking you: I uploaded more recent versions to experimental during the last freeze. What is the policy on getting the latest version from experimental to unstable? Just change in the latest debian/changelog entry from experimental to unstable, update timestamp and reupload? Or create a new changelog-entry? - -------- Original Message -------- Subject: [Debian-med-packaging] Bug#713565: gwyddion: FTBFS: ../libdraw/gwyrgba.h:24:23: fatal error: gdk/gdkgc.h: No such file or directory Source: gwyddion Version: 2.28-2 Severity: serious Tags: jessie sid User: [email protected] Usertags: qa-ftbfs-20130620 qa-ftbfs Justification: FTBFS on amd64 Hi, During a rebuild of all packages in sid, your package failed to build on amd64.
