I'm new to packaging, so I don't know a lot about packaging. I'm assuming you mean debian backports. Reading about backports, it seems that it takes packages from testing and recompiles them for stable. So I think I need to get a sponsor first to get armory into sid, then testing before I can get it into backports. I published a ppa at https://launchpad.net/~josephbisch/+archive/armory. It is for trusty. Let me know if you need it for a different version of Ubuntu. I hope you find this package useful.
