Yes, from technical point of view this is all you need.
But there are some cases (see [1], for example), albeit older, that add an entry in the changelog explicitely acknowledging it
That's a nice thing to do, but it's not strictly necessary.

You should not close again the bug(s) if you included the old changelog entry.
