Hi Gianfranco,

Initially, Hugues Morrisset was entered as Maintainer and Ben Wiederhake
(me) as Uploader in debian/rules. However, Hugues has gone inactive and
agreed that I take the lead in debianizing telegram-purple. But now
mentors won't let me do anything, because I'm not the maintainer in the
eyes of the system.

dget -u
http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/t/telegram-purple/telegram-purple_1.2.2~bw2-2.dsccd
 telegram-purple-1.2.2~bw2

grep -e "Maintainer" -e "Uploaders" debian/control
Maintainer: Ben Wiederhake <[email protected]>
Uploaders: Hugues Morisset <[email protected]>

yes, this is a known issue, because e.g. you can't remove the package, but I guess it is
a "non-issue"
because the package content should be correct anyway.

The package *content* is correct, true. But not the metadata:

so, this graphical issue doesn't stop you from looking for a sponsor (please
open an RFS bug if you want to look for some
reviews)

As far as I can see, there is an option "Needs a sponsor: No" on the package page.

Does this simply display whether there is a RFS bug?
Or will I need to set to "Yes" using the website?
How important is this flag?

(I am not looking for sponsorship yet; the plugin itself is not ready yet.)

With regards
Ben
