Hi!
I'm attaching the debian tarball to this email, feel free to
start from there.
Howevere I see a real issue.
you are installing libraries into usr/bin/triplet/panda3d
and you are providing binaries linking them into usr/bin
so I don't see how you can use them without poisoning
ld.so.conf or setting RPATH.
for sure I would not sponsor a package that sets stuff inside
/etc/ld.so.conf.d/
and is not in the libc* packages.
sorry but this is a showstopper, please ask upstream how to
proceed, or start from my work and continue it
I already spent many days in this packaging, and I can't give
it more time, specially because of the custom build system
also RPATH might be forbidden in Debian
rdb from upstream (the main developer) suggests [1] to install to
/usr/lib/triplet/, this could involve patching installpanda.py (I will look
into this the next days). He opposes using RPATH, too.
Btw, he recommends calling the package panda3d1.9 instead of panda3d1.9.x -
binary compatibility is guaranteed :D
