I partitionned the disk as you mentionned, and installed the provided tarball. At first boot, everything went OK.

I read a conversation about installing debian on Qube 1 (the one without serail interface); but in the end, does it appear to work?
Someone told me recently that the new base tar ball I prepared works. Since I don't have a Qube 1 myself, I cannot test it myself though.

I can't get it working, since the qube freezes at 'loadding debian'
