Hello I'm having trouble installing Linux on both an Indigo2 and an Indy. I've set up a DHCP server and a NFS server (in fact both running on a OpenBSD Box) Downloaded a root filesystem, and a kernel (in fact quite a few kernels)
I boot the SGI (doesn't matter which one) and unset the netaddr, then do something like the following boot -f bootp()thekernel init=/bin/bash nfsroot=1.2.3.4:/path Now in both cases it seems to download the kernel okay, then just hangs and I have to reboot. Any ideas? Its kind driving me mad. Do I need to supply any more info? I know I managed to get the kernel to boot once (a while ago after an all night session but not sure what the difference was) but then it couldn't find the NSF-Root. I'm obviously missing something fundamental :+) Cheers in advance Jeremy =============================================================== Information contained in this email message is intended only for use of the individual or entity named above.
