My hard disk crashed and I had to find another one before trying your kernel. Now, the system is up again, and your kernel works fine for me. I was just a bit confused by the message about initrd. If I understand correctly, initrd is currently not supported by arcboot. Am I right? It could be a good idea to add a little remark in debian.README >> BTW, does anybody know if it is possible to use the O2 parallel port >> with linux, and how? > > AFAIK there is no driver (mostly due to lack of documentation). Thanks for the answer. After some googling, it looks like netbsd is (or at least used to be) able to use the parallel port. http://article.gmane.org/gmane.os.netbsd.ports.sgimips/413/match=parallel+port Perhaps is it possible to look at their driver? I have finally another question about RTC clock. It seems that it is not updated by "hwclock --systohc" (see below). Am I missing something? # hwclock --debug --systohc hwclock from util-linux-2.12p Using /dev/rtc interface to clock. Last drift adjustment done at 1125156038 seconds after 1969 Last calibration done at 1125156038 seconds after 1969 Hardware clock is on UTC time Assuming hardware clock is kept in UTC time. Waiting for clock tick... ...got clock tick Time read from Hardware Clock: 2005/08/27 15:21:32 Hw clock time : 2005/08/27 15:21:32 = 1125156092 seconds since 1969 Time elapsed since reference time has been 0.762593 seconds. Delaying further to reach the next full second. Setting Hardware Clock to 15:21:25 = 1125156085 seconds since 1969 ioctl(RTC_SET_TIME) was successful. Not adjusting drift factor because it has been less than a day since the last calibration. # hwclock --show ; date Sat Aug 27 17:21:36 2005 -1.239038 seconds Sat Aug 27 17:21:28 CEST 2005 Arnaud -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
