to answer your first question, i use dhcp3-server

Do you knwo where the problem could come from?
Which DHCP server are you using?
Can you please replace /nfsroot/vmlinux.gz with the binary from
http://www.cyrius.com/debian/cobalt/colo/vmlinux.gz (a newer version
of CoLo) and see if it works?
