Hello Martin, Long time no see.
I just tried the RC1 image on the bcm1480, and ran into a few problems. Some of them likely due to being rusty... 1) couldn't boot sibyl from disk with 'boot ide0.0:', I used the guided install. I'm pretty certain my CFE is "recent". 2) After installing and rebooting (over the network), the kernel hung/crashed at the following fairly early on: [CPU3] [ 0.000000] Detected 3 available secondary CPU(s) [c[ 0.000000] Built 1 zonelists in Zone order, mobility grouping on. Total pages: 250120 [ 0.000000] Kernel command line: root=/dev/hda3 ip=any ] [ 0.000000] Primary instruction cache 32kB, VIVT, 4-way, linesize 32 bytes. [ 0.000000] Primary data cache 32kB, 4-way, PIPT, no aliases, linesize 32 bytes [ 0.000000] PID hash table entries: 4096 (order: 12, 32768 bytes) [17179569.184000] Console: colour dummy device 80x25 [17179569.184000] console handover: boot [early0] -> real [tty0] [DL2?] [DL2D] [DC ?] [DC D] [HELO] [L1CI] [L2CI] [CPU3] [cpu3] [CPU2] [cpu2] [CPU1] [[DRAM] cpu1] Thoughts? Seems like I'd seen this class of failure a long time ago, but darned if I can remember what caused it... /Mark -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
