Hi all.

I fail to install Debian (Lenny, Etch ...) on an old Indigo2 R4000.

Setup: no keyboard, serial terminal attached. Network boot (from a Debian
Sparc system).

The system boots but stops with

starting kernel ...

I need a serial console and /dev/ram0 as the root file system, don't I?

I tried various combinations such as

boot -f bootp()<IMG_NAME> console=ttyS0 root=/dev/ram0

but nothing works.

Any hints?

Thanks in advance,

   Hartwig
