I figured out the flavor of cross toolchains for mips64el on amd64
Aka something like:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/source/vivid/gcc-4.9-powerpc-cross
http://packages.ubuntu.com/source/vivid/powerpc-cross-toolchain-base
You can use it to build applications cross.
do NOT build deb packages with this flavor cross toolchains.
