Package: audacity
Version: 1.2.3-1
Severity: wishlist
Audacity should automatically pick a working sound output. And it
should have JACK support.
So it should check if JACK is running, if so, it should use JACK,
otherwise it should try ALSA and finally OSS. Probably it should also
check for some sound daemons.
But hey wait, this should actually be in a library, so it can be used
by all free audio software :)

Version: 1.3.2-2
Version 1.3.2 (and probably earlier?) versions support JACK and use it
automatically when available. If not available it's possible to choose
between OSS and alsa devices.
