Package: jack-audio-connection-kit Version: 0.103.0-6 Severity: minor Hi! Thanks for maintaining the jack-audio-connection-kit package! :)
/usr/share/doc/jackd/README.Debian states, in part: | * Low Latency: | - To ensure that jackd can regularly fill it's buffers und do it's work | it's necessary to modify parts of the kernel, that could block jackd from | running at the required frequency. The patch ist called "realtime-preempt" | and available in the package kernel-patch-realtime-preempt See also | the file /usr/share/doc/jackd/FAQ.gz for more info. This seems to include some typos: s/it's buffers/its buffers/ s/und/and/ s/it's work/its work,/ s/ist/is/ s/and available/and is available/ Moreover, there seems to no longer exist any kernel-patch-realtime-preempt package: a similarly named package was kernel-patch-2.4-preempt, but it seems to have been removed from testing and unstable back on May 2006 (well before etch release!). Hence, I think that this info should be updated to point to the current patch package for 2.6.x kernels, if appropriate. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.22-3-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
