This took a bit longer because I wanted to do some more extensive testing. I added honoring of CXXFLAGS and verified that it builds (pbuilder), installs, works and passes lintian. An upload would therefore be good. Please note that I did not change the distribution from UNRELEASED to unstable as I consider this being part of the upload.
