Hi, step to test it: rmmod snd_seq if compiled as module.
When I try rosegarden without snd_seq module loaded it's behaviour is a bit strange. First it warns you that has crashed, which isn't true. Seconds after that it warns you that sequencer couldn't be initialized (or something like that: I see messages in Spanish). After that main window is raised, but menu and buttons do not respond at all, and finally they do.
