I'm sorry for my bad English in the first post. It would be correct to say "When I try to play any FLAC file with mhwaveedit, I get the message..."
There is written in the mhwaveedit manual: "If it's compiled with the libsnd library, mhWaveEdit supports a couple of other formats as well." As I see in mhwaveedit-1.4.14/debian/control, this program has the libsndfile1-dev in its build-dependencies. If I make $ sndfile-play <any_of_my>.flac a flac is playing. So, the sndfile-program is playing a flac, mhwaveedit is compiled with the libsndfile1-dev...
