To, The Team SoX, Sourceforge/Debian Multimedia Jaromír Mikeš <[email protected]> Debian Multimedia Maintainers <[email protected]>
Sirs, Thank you for empowering us with the wonderful application SoX. The only issue I had with it was its CLI interface. I post in the Debian forum with the same username as my email-id., and in Knoppix forum as Rajibando. Entering computing in an era of the GUI I could not push myself to CLI based applications. It is solely my problem and I apologise for the same. But I am afraid that there are individuals like me who would be deprived of the power of this wonderful application called SoX. I have observed that there is a QT GUI version of SoX available in SourceForge here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/qsox/ I hope that we would be able to have this QT GUI version of SoX as a stand-alone application in the future editions of Debian. While from my interactions with the Debian Forums I now know that Audacity uses sox's libraries, sox is far lightweight in comparison to audacity. Although I marked my query as resolved, my request for a GUI version of sox remains paramount. Thank you sirs, for lending me your ears. Regards, Rajib B FOSS enthusiast
