Thought I should mention a couple of packages I use for photography,
which are packaged for Debian, but not mentioned on
https://blends.debian.org/multimedia/tasks/photography

I have used Digikam, which I did find good, but am currently using the
Gnome equivalent, Shotwell https://wiki.gnome.org/Apps/Shotwell

I also use Zoph, which is accessed over the web, rather than on the
desktop, and being multiuser, can be useful if you share photo library
with family members who do not have a Linux Desktop. It has many nice
features, such as using OpenStreetmap to show all the photos you (or
your family) took at some location, sort into flexible albums, etc.
Its web page is at http://www.zoph.org/index.html
