Package: src:gsequencer Version: 7.5.5-1 Severity: important Tags: sid forky User: [email protected] Usertags: ftbfs-gcc-15
[This bug is NOT targeted to the upcoming trixie release] Please keep this issue open in the bug tracker for the package it was filed for. If a fix in another package is required, please file a bug for the other package (or clone), and add a block in this package. Please keep the issue open until the package can be built in a follow-up test rebuild. The package fails to build in a test rebuild on at least amd64 with gcc-15/g++-15, but succeeds to build with gcc-14/g++-14. The severity of this report will be raised before the forky release. The full build log can be found at: http://qa-logs.debian.net/2025/02/16/amd64exp/gsequencer_7.5.5-1_unstable_gccexp.log.gz The last lines of the build log are at the end of this report. To build with GCC 15, either set CC=gcc-15 CXX=g++-15 explicitly, or install the gcc, g++, gfortran, ... packages from experimental. apt-get -t=experimental install g++ GCC 15 now defaults to the C23/C++23 standards, exposing many FTBFS. Other Common build failures are new warnings resulting in build failures with -Werror turned on, or new/dropped symbols in Debian symbols files. For other C/C++ related build failures see the porting guide at http://gcc.gnu.org/gcc-15/porting_to.html [...] | ~~~~~~~~~^~~~~~ ags/test/file/ags_file_test.c:248:22: warning: assignment to ‘AgsFileIdRef *’ {aka ‘struct _AgsFileIdRef *’} from incompatible pointer type ‘GObject *’ {aka ‘struct _GObject *’} [-Wincompatible-pointer-types] 248 | CU_ASSERT((current = ags_file_find_id_ref_by_reference(file, | ^ ags/test/file/ags_file_test.c:252:22: warning: assignment to ‘AgsFileIdRef *’ {aka ‘struct _AgsFileIdRef *’} from incompatible pointer type ‘GObject *’ {aka ‘struct _GObject *’} [-Wincompatible-pointer-types] 252 | CU_ASSERT((current = ags_file_find_id_ref_by_reference(file, | ^ ags/test/file/ags_file_test.c:256:22: warning: assignment to ‘AgsFileIdRef *’ {aka ‘struct _AgsFileIdRef *’} from incompatible pointer type ‘GObject *’ {aka ‘struct _GObject *’} [-Wincompatible-pointer-types] 256 | CU_ASSERT((current = ags_file_find_id_ref_by_reference(file, | ^ ags/test/file/ags_file_test.c: In function ‘ags_file_test_add_lookup’: ags/test/file/ags_file_test.c:274:34: warning: passing argument 2 of ‘ags_file_add_lookup’ from incompatible pointer type [-Wincompatible-pointer-types] 274 | file_lookup[0]); | ~~~~~~~~~~~^~~ | | | AgsFileIdRef * {aka struct _AgsFileIdRef *} ./ags/file/ags_file.h:189:50: note: expected ‘GObject *’ {aka ‘struct _GObject *’} but argument is of type ‘AgsFileIdRef *’ {aka ‘struct _AgsFileIdRef *’} 189 | void ags_file_add_lookup(AgsFile *file, GObject *file_lookup); | ~~~~~~~~~^~~~~~~~~~~ ags/test/file/ags_file_test.c:279:34: warning: passing argument 2 of ‘ags_file_add_lookup’ from incompatible pointer type [-Wincompatible-pointer-types] 279 | file_lookup[1]); | ~~~~~~~~~~~^~~ | | | AgsFileIdRef * {aka struct _AgsFileIdRef *} ./ags/file/ags_file.h:189:50: note: expected ‘GObject *’ {aka ‘struct _GObject *’} but argument is of type ‘AgsFileIdRef *’ {aka ‘struct _AgsFileIdRef *’} 189 | void ags_file_add_lookup(AgsFile *file, GObject *file_lookup); | ~~~~~~~~~^~~~~~~~~~~ ags/test/file/ags_file_test.c:284:34: warning: passing argument 2 of ‘ags_file_add_lookup’ from incompatible pointer type [-Wincompatible-pointer-types] 284 | file_lookup[2]); | ~~~~~~~~~~~^~~ | | | AgsFileIdRef * {aka struct _AgsFileIdRef *} ./ags/file/ags_file.h:189:50: note: expected ‘GObject *’ {aka ‘struct _GObject *’} but argument is of type ‘AgsFileIdRef *’ {aka ‘struct _AgsFileIdRef *’} 189 | void ags_file_add_lookup(AgsFile *file, GObject *file_lookup); | ~~~~~~~~~^~~~~~~~~~~ ags/test/file/ags_file_test.c: In function ‘ags_file_test_add_launch’: ags/test/file/ags_file_test.c:310:34: warning: passing argument 2 of ‘ags_file_add_launch’ from incompatible pointer type [-Wincompatible-pointer-types] 310 | file_launch[0]); | ~~~~~~~~~~~^~~ | | | AgsFileIdRef * {aka struct _AgsFileIdRef *} ./ags/file/ags_file.h:191:50: note: expected ‘GObject *’ {aka ‘struct _GObject *’} but argument is of type ‘AgsFileIdRef *’ {aka ‘struct _AgsFileIdRef *’} 191 | void ags_file_add_launch(AgsFile *file, GObject *file_launch); | ~~~~~~~~~^~~~~~~~~~~ ags/test/file/ags_file_test.c:315:34: warning: passing argument 2 of ‘ags_file_add_launch’ from incompatible pointer type [-Wincompatible-pointer-types] 315 | file_launch[1]); | ~~~~~~~~~~~^~~ | | | AgsFileIdRef * {aka struct _AgsFileIdRef *} ./ags/file/ags_file.h:191:50: note: expected ‘GObject *’ {aka ‘struct _GObject *’} but argument is of type ‘AgsFileIdRef *’ {aka ‘struct _AgsFileIdRef *’} 191 | void ags_file_add_launch(AgsFile *file, GObject *file_launch); | ~~~~~~~~~^~~~~~~~~~~ ags/test/file/ags_file_test.c:320:34: warning: passing argument 2 of ‘ags_file_add_launch’ from incompatible pointer type [-Wincompatible-pointer-types] 320 | file_launch[2]); | ~~~~~~~~~~~^~~ | | | AgsFileIdRef * {aka struct _AgsFileIdRef *} ./ags/file/ags_file.h:191:50: note: expected ‘GObject *’ {aka ‘struct _GObject *’} but argument is of type ‘AgsFileIdRef *’ {aka ‘struct _AgsFileIdRef *’} 191 | void ags_file_add_launch(AgsFile *file, GObject *file_launch); | ~~~~~~~~~^~~~~~~~~~~ make[4]: Leaving directory '/build/reproducible-path/gsequencer-7.5.5' make[3]: *** [Makefile:34531: check-am] Error 2 make[3]: Leaving directory '/build/reproducible-path/gsequencer-7.5.5' make[2]: *** [Makefile:31883: check-recursive] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory '/build/reproducible-path/gsequencer-7.5.5' dh_auto_test: error: make -j8 check "TESTSUITEFLAGS=-j8 --verbose" VERBOSE=1 "CFLAGS=-fpermissive -Wno-error=incompatible-pointer-types -Wno-error=pedantic " returned exit code 2 make[1]: *** [debian/rules:51: override_dh_auto_test] Error 25 make[1]: Leaving directory '/build/reproducible-path/gsequencer-7.5.5' make: *** [debian/rules:39: binary] Error 2 dpkg-buildpackage: error: debian/rules binary subprocess returned exit status 2
