Hi.

For a couple of years some supporting terminal emulators allow setting
the TERM environment variable to a value that indicates true color
capability. In the case of xterm this is "xterm-direct", I'm at least
aware that Konsole has a corresponding option with "konsole-direct",
there may be a few others. As of this writing, cmus does not recognize
these, the result being a fallback to what appears to be 16 colors.

While I don't think true color makes a difference for cmus as such, I
prefer to have it set for the benefit of some other applications. Thus
for the time being running cmus requires the use of a wrapper, alias,
function, or command line override. There's a lot of other TUI software
around that hasn't been updated, though it's more of a nuisance for cmus
considering it's colored theming.
