Dear Maintainer, On KDE Plasma Wayland, the Debian package of MusicBrainz Picard does not expose its application menu to Plasma global menu integration. Observed behavior: - When I start Picard normally from the Debian package, the global menu is missing. - If I start the same Debian binary with: QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb /usr/bin/picard the global menu works correctly. - The Flathub Flatpak build (org.musicbrainz.Picard) also shows the global menu correctly in the same Plasma Wayland session without any workaround. Expected behavior: - Picard should expose its menu correctly to Plasma global menu on Wayland, or at least behave consistently with the Flatpak build in the same session. Environment: - Desktop: KDE Plasma (plasmashell 6.6.4) - Session type: Wayland Additional notes: - This seems specific to the Debian-packaged build in native Wayland, because the same application works via XCB/XWayland and the Flatpak build works as well. - I am not sure whether this is a Debian packaging issue, a Qt/Wayland integration issue, or something that should also be reported upstream, but I am reporting it here first because the problem is reproducible with the Debian package. - When testing the Flathub Flatpak build in X11-only mode, the global menu did not appear immediately while the initial tips dialog was open. It became available after closing that initial modal dialog.
