Bastian explicitly agrees to follow the Social Contract and the DFSG in
his Debian related work. To ensure he understands the main points and the
implications of these documents, I asked him some questions (see attached
mail). He showed a clear understanding of the DSC and the DFSG.

Bastian sent me two packages he has made: avifile (a player for avi
files) and postfix-tls-ipv6 (TLS and IPv6 support for postfix). They can
be downloaded at http://elxsi.de/~waldi/debian/.
He wrote me that the packages aren't totally lintian clean at the
moment, but he is working on this.
Lintian indeed give some warnings and errors: avifile has some header files
that are executable, and a library that was compiled without -fPIC.
postfix-tls-ipv6 has no copyright file and no /usr/doc link. All these
errors can be fixed with trivial changes to the package, so I am
confident dat Bastian knows how to make a correct debian package.
