I hereby advocate Gabriele to become a Debian Maintainer. I worked with him preparing a quite complex (especially license related) package such as pidgin-skype, and he showed commitment and great social and interaction skills, other than solid technical ones. I think he will demonstrate them as Debian Maintainer too.
