I have reviewed and sponsored several of Michael's uploads [0] and would like to support his intent to become Debian Maintainer. The packages he sent me to review and upload were all done very well and at least less than a Year ago, when I was sponsoring more actively, his packages were getting regular care as needed which I'm pretty sure is still the case.
