The current status of Alexandre Viau is Debian Contributor. Advocacy text: Discussing with Alexandre, I was the one telling him he should try to apply to become a DD directly, as I think he is skilled enough. At this point, the package reviews I'm doing for his new packages are made of mostly nit-picks. So basically, it is my opinion that there's no point to require peer reviews for new packages from Alexandre. I also believe he's smart enough to ask for such peer reviews whenever he doesn't feel comfortable enough with new packages even after becoming a DD.
