I strongly support Marc's DM application. He is maintaining the collectd package in testing/unstable and jessie + wheezy backports (-sloppy). Also he runs the upstream CI infrastructure to build and test collectd and its packaging for all relevant Debian and RedHat versions. Its a joy to work with Marc on the packages, communicating with him is easy and his work is not only perfect form a code/policy point of view, but also well documented in git commits and the resulting changelog.
