Hello,

I recommend to accept David Kalnischkies as a new Debian Developer, uploading.
The account name is donkult.

 * Applicant background

In 2010 I was a GSoC student in Debian on the project "MultiArch in APT". I had
worked on various small to medium tasks since 2009 as a kinda regular in the
development of APT tools like apt-get and its associated library already, but
after this project I was completely hooked and established as a core developer
in the very small team reachable via de...@lists.debian.org ever since. In that
position I traveled places, meet countless great people and tackled personal,
social and technical problems I would have never even imagined to ever have a
stab at.

All this never really required any form of official status (as in DM/DD) with
in the Debian project, which is a very nice property of the community – but
also made me never apply for them (and at some time even actively refusing to)
even if they would have been helpful at times which ended up caused some
confusion/disbelieve over the years.

Two years ago on its 16th birthday at the 1st of April we gave apt the version
number 1.0.0.0.0b to give it officially the status it had in practice for
years. Now that I again signed myself up for a huge task in the form of
GSoC2016 it might be as good a time as any to start the process of evaluating
if I should be labeled officially as well.

Regards,

Enrico Zini
