Greetings. I would like to support and advocate for José Gutiérrez de la Concha <[email protected]> in his application to become a Debian Maintainer. [Note: I'm a DM myself, not yet a DD, so I understand that this has less impact than if I was advocating as a DD.] I have worked with Jose on bugs and changes with Zeroc-Ice with respect to supporting Mumble and have enjoyed working with him. Communications with him have been respectful, knowledgeable, and helpful, and I've been very glad to have his support when bugs in ZeroC-Ice arise. I believe he has demonstrated the needed packaging skills and I think his becoming a Debian Maintainer will make a positive addition to Debian.
