Dear DAM and Front Desk:

I support Frank B. Brokken <[email protected]>'s request to become a
Debian Maintainer. Frank and I have collaborated on 15 Debian packages
for which he is also the upstream author [1]. Our work together goes
back to 2006 and we have remained in constant contact over the past
20 years.

If you look at the UDD link, admittedly we should update the
debian/watch files for these packages. It hasn't been an priority
because Frank is proactive about updating the packages and notifiying
me when it is time for review and a sponsored upload.

Over this period of time, Frank has demonstrated dedication to both
Debian and the ideals of Free Software, and also increasing technical
proficiency with Debian packaging and best-practices.

I trust him completely to act in Debian's best interest and to make
prudent technical decisions, and that he can be trusted to have upload
rights for his own packages at this time.

I have personally met with Frank B. Brokken <[email protected]>
(key DF3213DEB1567732E65E3B4D7DB2A8BEEAE4D8AA) many times during our
collaboration, as recently as the last six months (August of 2025).
I note from the keycheck page [2] that Frank may need to provide an
updated GPG key (key_size). If that is necessary, I am willing to
update my advocacy statement after I have verified the new key.

Please let me know if you have any questions about my advocacy.

Sincerely,
tony mancill <[email protected]>
