For nm.debian.org, at 2026-10-17:
I support Lester Guerzon <[email protected]>'s request to become a Debian
Maintainer.

I have worked with Lester Guerzon on sponsoring uploads of rust-asyncband,
rust-cron, rust-croner, rust-dateparser, rust-devise-codegen,
rust-devise-core, rust-html5gum, rust-job-scheduler-ng, rust-opendal-core,
rust-openidconnect, rust-stable-pattern, rust-webauthn-attestation-ca,
rust-webauthn-rs-core, rust-webauthn-rs-device-catalog,
rust-webauthn-rs-proto, and rust-yubico-ng since August 19th, 2026, and I
consider them as having sufficient technical competence.

I sponsored twenty of Lester's uploads to unstable between 2026-08-19 and
2026-10-13 (sixteen Rust source packages, all through the Debian Rust
team and debcargo-conf). Eleven were the first upload of that source to
unstable, including rust-openidconnect (#1144455) and rust-yubico-ng
(#1144618), plus rust-asyncband, rust-cron, rust-croner,
rust-devise-codegen, rust-devise-core, rust-html5gum,
rust-job-scheduler-ng, rust-opendal-core, and rust-stable-pattern. The
other uploads were upstream bumps and packaging fixes, including
rust-dateparser and the rust-webauthn-rs crates, and a copyright fix on
rust-openidconnect. Several of these crates sit on the Vaultwarden
dependency tree.

Beyond the packages I personally sponsored, I reviewed Lester's full
upload history in the archive: thirty-seven uploads from 2026-08-19
through 2026-10-13, signed by six Debian Developers (myself, Emmanuel
Arias, Jeroen Ploemen, Alexandre Detiste, Simon Josefsson, and Bastian
Germann). Lester is Maintainer or Uploader on twenty-six source packages
in unstable. Those packages have no open RC bugs, and the uploads I
reviewed look to be of sound technical quality.

I have personally worked with Lester Guerzon <[email protected]>
(key 107B6026A82D044C97D7D8B92100C145E0F3655E) through direct sponsorship
from August through October 2026, and I have reviewed the rest of their
2026 packaging. I know Lester Guerzon can be trusted to have upload
rights for their own packages, right now.
