>From April 9th to April 12th the Debian Project maintains a booth at Multimedia Market 2000. The Debian Staff presents the upcoming distribution codenamed 'potato'. They will be at your service and answer questions. The Debian booth is a part of the Linux-Pavillon and is shared with LUGs. The Linux-Pavillon, organized by the LinuxTag Team, consists of six commercial and three non-commercial booths. Among the non-commercial booths are Gnome, Pro-Linux and KDE. The conference program gives general talks on Free Software and Linux. >> About Debian The Debian project is an organization of many users who volunteer their time and effort. Its tasks include maintaining and updating Debian GNU/Linux which is a free distribution of the GNU/Linux operating system, and the development of the Debian GNU/Hurd operating system. >> About LinuxTag LinuxTag is europeans largest Linux and Free Software exhibition and conference. Although this is a professional exhibition and conference it is organized by the community. LinuxTag takes place from June 29th to July 2nd. Several people from or affiliated with Debian are involved in its organisation.
