the new libc6 is not yet in testing anyway, so all the rest is moot.

He can, no problem, he just need to point to unstable for getting those
packages. I think some apt-get pin trick will help here.

Anyway, testing is for helping in the release process, not really for
end user, it is easier to simply track unstable, and be a bit carefull
when making upgrades.
