No need, Marco Santoro already asked. It seems HP are the copyright owners, so maybe we could ask our friends at HP about it. I am going to write a mail to Bdale asking about this. Anyway, for now we follow as usual, i doubt there is any library which depends on bignum, so we can always remove the incriminating code later on, and make a non-free package with it.
