Hi all, ... Would it be meaningfull to include approx and syslog-ocaml in sarge ? The only reason they didn't make it before the freeze was that i was travelling and didn't detect that syslog-ocaml was mishandling the non-native arches case.
I have been using approx for over two month now daily, and it works fine, and as said, it is not a package that has any reverse-dependencies or something. The only remaining problem is for the m68k autobuilder to pick up the syslog-ocaml build, and the m68k, mips and ia64 autobuilders to pick up the approx builds, which should hopefully happen any day now. Here are the infos concerning said packages : Package: approx Priority: optional Section: admin Installed-Size: 1304 Maintainer: Eric Cooper <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Architecture: powerpc Version: 1.15 Depends: libc6 (>= 2.3.2.ds1-4), libcurl3 (>= 7.13.1-1), libidn11 (>= 0.5.13), libpcre3 (>= 4.5), libssl0.9.7, zlib1g (>= 1:1.2.1), wget Filename: pool/main/a/approx/approx_1.15_powerpc.deb Size: 480784 MD5sum: 32b927ff7bee6547a71011eeea5aa333 Description: caching proxy server for Debian archive files Approx is an HTTP-based Debian archive server. It fetches packages from remote repositories on demand, and caches them for local use. . Approx saves time and network bandwidth if you need to install or upgrade Debian software for a number of machines on a local network. Each package is downloaded from a remote site only once, regardless of how many local clients install it. The approx cache typically requires a few gigabytes of disk space. . Approx also simplifies the administration of client machines: repository locations need only be changed in approx's configuration file, not in every client's /etc/apt/sources.list file. . Approx can be used as a replacement for apt-proxy, with no need to modify clients' /etc/apt/sources.list files, or as an alternative to apt-cacher, with no need to run Apache. . Approx is intended to be robust, simple, and efficient. It is written in OCaml (Objective Caml). Package: libsyslog-ocaml-dev Priority: optional Section: libdevel Installed-Size: 96 Maintainer: Debian OCaml Maintainers <[email protected]> Architecture: powerpc Source: syslog-ocaml Version: 1.2-1 Depends: ocaml-nox-3.08.3 Filename: pool/main/s/syslog-ocaml/libsyslog-ocaml-dev_1.2-1_powerpc.deb Size: 13372 MD5sum: cb52173f36fc0854ef0db9e7e841b1f7 Description: syslog routines for OCaml This library implements a syslog client in Objective Caml.
