Package: edos-debcheck
Version: 1.0-7
Edos givesup when meets version number with '*' in Depends: field, and
probably with other strange version strings.
$ cat SomePackages | edos-debcheck -failures -explain
Parsing package file... 11320 packagesFatal error: exception Failure("Bad
token in 'lightning-extension (>= 0.7), lightning-extension (<< 0.7.*),
thunderbird-locale-ca' at 58")
Perhaps it should simply ignore the package or the dependency.
Thanks.

this has been fixed with the switch to the edos-distcheck package
which uses the parse from the dose2 package.
