Package: camlzip
Severity: wishlist

This is a request to change the ocamlfind name in the META file for camlzip
from "zip" to "camlzip". This more closely mirrors the upstream library
name. GODI also uses "camlzip" so this will ease development between Debian
and GODI based OCaml installations.

To summarize: upstream installs in a "zip" subdirectory by default, the
findlib package in Debian and Fedora is "zip". Moreover, changing the
name is likely to pose problems (i.e. make us add more patches) to other
packages in Debian depending on camlzip. I don't see why we should
rename ours to "camlzip", nor "fake" the existence of a "camlzip"
package either with your method or with a symlink.

I'd rather see the GODI package fixed.

I am therefore closing this bug.
